i had a shopping/lunch day with maggie and her boys, and we went to cinnaholic in berkeley, they have yummy gourmet (vegan) cinnamon rolls. all the topping are too sweet for me so i just got a classic roll, but isn't this tiny roll that kai got super cute?

i also got to spend time with little kole.

Maggie and I had a coffee date a few weekends ago. Like always it was good to see her and catch up. (You can see her photos here)

Sadly, I found out that the cafe near my house where we met is closing. It was my favorite cafe. I would go most weekends and enjoy coffee on the sidewalk with carlton and a book, or knitting; or sometimes I would just stop in for a coffee to-go and then head to farmer's market. Business was good, but I the owner wanted to move to a new town. He really had the best coffee in the neighborhood, now I am going to have to find a new spot. boo.

craft fair treasures

these are the treasures that i brought back from the richmond art fair. one of chase's owl pin cushions, a little bowl, and that giant cone of soft soft lace-weight yarn was a bargain at 50¢.

the little bowl found a place near my new little oil + vinegar birds (design by carol Jacobs).

richmond craft fair

my friend chase had a table with some friends sylvia and Jill at the richmond art center holiday craft fair. doesn't chase make the cutest things? you can see more of her work over at her etsy shop.

the richmond art center was really neat facility. they had a great classrooms, including pottery wheels + kiln and looms! the looms were really neat, i want to take a weaving class now!
