Maggie and I had a coffee date a few weekends ago. Like always it was good to see her and catch up. (You can see her photos here)

Sadly, I found out that the cafe near my house where we met is closing. It was my favorite cafe. I would go most weekends and enjoy coffee on the sidewalk with carlton and a book, or knitting; or sometimes I would just stop in for a coffee to-go and then head to farmer's market. Business was good, but I the owner wanted to move to a new town. He really had the best coffee in the neighborhood, now I am going to have to find a new spot. boo.

craft fair treasures these are the treasures that i brought back from the richmond art fair. one of chase's owl pin cushions, a little bowl, and that giant cone of soft soft lace-weight yarn was a bargain at 50¢. the little bowl found a place near my new little oil + vinegar birds...
