I made some "red, white + blue" mini donuts for 4th of july bbq. I used a recipe from vegan yum yum cook book. It used a mini-donut pan, and then you bake them just like muffins or cupcakes.
These are really fun to decorate. I used a basic glaze of 1/2 powdered sugar and a tablespoon almond milk. For the white ones, after dipping them in glaze, I dipped them in white sprinkles. I used food coloring to make the pink glaze, and for the blue, I put the glaze in my mini food processor with some blueberries. In the future I will try using rice milk for the glaze, because the almond milk gave it a yellowish hue.
More 4th of july to come.
