i noticed bicycle coffee showed up at grand lake farmers market a couple of weeks ago. they brew organic fair trade coffee, all from a cart on the front of a bike. which is pretty much awesome. this is a cool video that tells more about the company. in addition to this cool coffee-shop bike, they roast the beans locally and deliver coffee to offices, and business by bike.

I saw this article about NYC and Toronto re-purposing old parking meters into bike racks. While the fancy upgrade does save the cities the cost of removing the posts, it made me smile because the city of Oakland just slapped some stickers on the old meters and called it a day—now that is saving tax dollars.
